Interesting fault

Interesting fault

Some times when I am driving a warning light comes on (next to the handbrake light) and stays on until you press the electric seat controls, then it flashes and goes out.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Richie…….

Andy,

It's like a pipe with heat waves coming of it.

Catalyst overheat warning.

Maybe dodgy wiring from the cat temp sensor cos I think it passes under the seats!

Could be time for a bit of lateral thinking ....

Do you still have the cats connected ? Because if not then the temp sensors are typically pushed up through the holes in the floor and will live somewhere under the carpet below the seats. So it is possible that something is going on down there.

Alternatively, like Shaun said, the wires could be getting crushed/moved by the electric seats.

Thanks Andy,

I have no cats so that's probably the fault.

Thanks, mate

Not sure, but if the wires are cut then maybe the warning light comes on. My sensors are stuffed up there too, but have been fine so far ....
