I have a 99 version S, it doesnt have the rear spoiler and my question to you guys is, would you add the 99 spec rear spoiler or would you leave it as it came from the factory?

As far as I'm aware thats standard on the Version S! I have the original brochure for the last model 300ZX's and it shows the seats as standard for the 2by2 as they call it, and 2 seater Version S

I was considering removing my spec 3/4 rear wing. I like the '89 spec rear wing and the '99 spec is alright - but the wing my car has doesn't do anything for the lines of the car. Looks a little clumsy, especially where the edges of the wings meet the tailgate. The more I look at it, the more I'm tempted to have it removed. Ultra clean car :drool:

 

What about the Turbo? Surely thats pretty good condition to? Or has it been, ahem, modified?

 

And why do the Japs like rear tints so much? I'm not keen, but I wouldn't want to wreck my rear de-mister by trying to peel it off..

Yeah still thinking out the rear wing option myself, really undecided as the car really is in showroom condition and to drill holes in the lid to fit the spoiler is putting me off slightly at the moment. Personally I like the first original style spoiler the best, but wouldnt want to add that to a 99. My black 95 car has the other spoiler you mentioned.

 

The black Twin Turbo is in pretty much the same condition! Only mods on it from what I can tell, is the exhaust and rear privacy glass. I do import some cars but not being doing much lately.

Love those seats in the versionS. Both cars look awesome, keep 'em both as they are IMO. I think it would look better with the spoiler but a car that rare and in unmolested fantastic low mileage condition should be left to age gracefully as it is. Fabulous cars mate.

Someone else will know better that me, but I'm pretty sure the Climate Control was available till production end but, was either only standard on the Twin Turbo 2by2 or, was made optional extra. Again in the later/last JDM brochure, it shows the climate control on the Twin Turbo 2by2 only on the Version S and Version R it just shows manual controls.

No, they are later spec controls. They have the direction control switch on them.

Yeah the car has the later Climate with directional controls and fan speed as you say.

Its what you were implying. Anyway, have you seen the receipts on new cars - quite a lot of my company cars have had options added that bring them up over the cost of higher models.

Yeah 100% sure! I have a feeling this color was only introduced to the Z in the later part of production. Its not a bright silver and not a dark grey like the usual Z colors.
