The US version of the zed has some funky looking differences to our UK and Import models and I have to say there is something so much nicer about their swb space saver wheel, I have shown pictures before of the rather large seat belts too but could not help taking a couple of more pics today with the belt extended fully....classic and this particular nice zed will be at the Bash on Saturday so you can see it in the flesh as it were.

The belts have two inertia reels, the normal lower one but also one higher up too, the spare is nice silver met alloy that is fully laquered, when flicked over there was Nissan sticker still in place....nice.

Ah cool! I suppose they did chrome the standard alloys in the US as well.

As for the bets is there a reason for that? Or an option for the larger gentleman? hehe

Sure its the same wheel as yours, just a different option on the finish.

As far as the belts, its possible to get in and out of the car without unclipping the belt it could be suggested its to prevent people not clunk clicking however I think it also would be an advantage for the fuller figure....

I was thinking that too

the US sparewheel needs to be inflated with a small air canister which sits under the wheel.

Unfortunately this canister is often missing and the spare wheel is useless without it, unless you have an airpump available to inflate the tire..

Also the US belts have electronic lockups, which is only activated when a certain g-force is exceeded (either positive or negative).

This is very annoying as the belt also locks up when you are accelerating hard and it's always a struggle to get these type of belts through MOT (at least in Holland)

is that 300zx for sale by any chance??

EDIT: looking for a LWB sorry.

Sorry to hijack the thread Jeff, I'm actually breaking a US spec zed, so if anyone is interested in any spares, seat belts etc, let me know.
