It just caught my eye, any thoughts on these cars?

i wouldn't have one myself, not a big fan of them, but they are a great little car, a very quick little car that handles well, an will give some of the bigger cars a run for the money, dont be put of by peoples knocking them, we all have are opions, but highly recomend u test drive one if u like them, hope u find the car u like.

Cheers Chris. Its really hard getting the balance between eco and fun/fast. I dropped a b0ll0ck with the Corolla but was fortunate enough to sell it at no great loss, don't want to make the same mistake again!

It is a turbo for sure - the engine pics give it away.......:thumbup1:

Doh! Lol

:whistling: ...lol..

what about a clio sport, nice little car,

personaly i would buy a 306 turbo diesel, fast an cheap to run, an cheap to insure, ive had loads,

Absolute horrible motor and Jane you will not get 0-60 in 6.9 out of a 1.3 Auto even if the turbo was the size of ayers rock

£1700 will buy you a lot of car these days so not sure why you are looking down the fast route all the time but if that is necessary you can buy a a MK2 Golf Gti 16v for that money and it will blow the doors of that Starlet. In fact, you can buy a Porsche for that money http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2428898.htm.

Now the Starlet looks even more like a Daihatsu Charade

What about MR2 turbo or has that been said already?

Mate, there's no way I would've sold Zedward if I wanted another 2 seater. Its gotta be 4 seats at least. As much as I loved my MR2 mk2 and I've driven a turbo and a V6 conversion both of which were great cars, but i need something a bit more practical sadly

Budget is £1400 tops - as if I'd have sold Zedward to get a Porsche! 4 seats required!

I raced my mate at santa pod in one. Vs my non turbo 2+2 (albeit slightly stripped out and a bit tuned) they were close for about 2 seconds then it was left for dead.

Nice little car though as a daily driver!

Get a LWB Zed then lol

But I can't afford to run one as a daily driver, for the 100th time man!

To be fair, i would never have it up against a Zed anyway, not that I would race at the Pod anyway, just looking for a small-ish, fun, cheaper to run/tax/insure that's a bit different. I can't afford to replace Zedward with a similar car. If I could, I would never have sold it in the first place, so hoping to find somthing suitable soon. Going to see the Glanza tomorrow, will see how I like it, coz that's what matters really, just wondered if anyone was aware of any issues tbh

Cheers

J
