While I'm hogging the top two slots on the tech-page, now is probably the best time to post my next question smile.gif :

My Z has zero rust on it - apart from ONE structural member. However I can't find it in FAST - (The Nissan parts CD for the un-familiar).

Its the metal section that sits directly below the radiator / air-con heat exchanger / oil cooler. (About 10cm deep, and runs the width of the car, between where the tie-rod bushes are). (The bottom skirt amongst other things is fixed to it)

Can anyone identify a part number? Coz mine is MEGA 'king rusty - I mean *really bad*, could probably poke a screwdriver through it in places!

Cheers you all most helpfull Z-gurus - esp Aaronjb today!

Get the feeling that this is one of those unmentionable probs. Ignored maybe!

Either that or everybody else has a totally rustproofed Z! Gonna check on mine now

Cheers Willie. It's my guess that not a lot of people get to see theirs. But mine is easy to see since all the front is off and the engines out.

The sun is shining today - so going to attempt to raise the air-con heat exchanger off of the rusty crossmember - to see if it can be repaired.

Simon.
