Looks really good, and at that price seems like quite a good deal.

I like to think i would be competent at putting it all on (id use contact adhesive rather than spray adhesive like it says)

Cheers

Yeah i bought that kit ages a go befor i got the leather, Still needs trimming etc its just the basic shape you get. Good quality as well :)

What do you mean still needs trimming, like heating up and stitching around corners? Good to know its good quality though

Dont waste your money, just go to a fabric shop and buy it off the roll. When you take off the old trim you have your templates to draw round and cut out.

These "kits" on ebay are really rough cuts and need altering yourself to fit so you might as well cut it out yourself from the start and save £100.

Ive been looking around at fabric prices and i thought about doing what youve said. But i just dont want to start from the beginning if you know what i mean. Taking the existing stuff off and starting fresh will give me a nice finish but its scary tearing the car apart :D im mostly worried about the door cards.

Its only material at the end of the day, i bought Black Leatherette and some trimming glue and did it all myself! doesnt take too long and you can do a panel or 2 a day! Just make sure you get good glue, i used spray glue in august and it lifted really badly so i had to do it all again! but now its solid and the hardest panel i found was the lower panels next to the rear seats!

Honestly, you wont be able to use the "kit" without tearing off your existing trim and using them as templates to trim down the "kit" to the correct shape and size.

Save yourself the cash and buy £20 of material yourself. It it all goes wrong and tits up then buy the kit. But your wasting your time if you do :)

Which glue did you use. Will help this man out.

As an example of what I mean. The size and shape in the kit will all be wrong. If you have to make it yourself just do it from your own fabric.

Thats good advice guys, cheers.

To be honest i wanted to do it all myself and get a material that i could feel and try out before i buy it. And taking the existing stuff off must be the easiest and most effective way. I re foamed a seat in a car years ago and used contact adhesive, worked a treat but the car stank for about 3 weeks after.

Ive got a SWB btw, if the door card really isnt that hard i may have to get on with this

i've been thinking of doing this aswell. does the door card split or does it have to stay in one piece. it just looks really awkward to fit.
