Headlamp wash thingies

1. Anyone know how the plastic covers are meant to be attached? Both mine have sheared off (have sourced replacements from AndyZ) and I have no idea how they are supposed to be taken off / put on.

 

2. Any ideas why when I press the headlamp wash button the windscreen wipers start? Dunno if they're meant to do this and, to be honest, I don't even know if anything comes out the lamp squirty things as I can't see them when I'm driving... Any ideas?

    I think the wipers come on to clear any splash back from them

    As stuart said, the wipers come on to clear the windscreen from the fluid - @ 90Mph its makes a bit of a mess!! smile.gif

     

    To be honest, I've never tried removing mine from my old bumper - If nobodies replied by the time i get home tonight - I'll have a look for you!

    Ok the plastic cover just clips over the jet,to remove them completeley you need to take your front bumper off,and unscrew the nut from the bottom of the jet.yes your windscreen wipers will come on when you press the washer button.
