I was just reading the e-mail from Auto Express on this and can't help drooling over the pics. Maybe I was a little hasty in buying my silver car......:shaun:

 

That's a very nice motor and I reckon it's like a "junior SLS" in the same way that the current version is like a "junior McLaren SLR."

 

Who knows? - give it until Autumn 2012 when it has been around for a year or so and I may give it a go. It's way nicer than the current Z4 and it makes the Boxster look positively ancient!!

its just too rounded and toned down. there are better mercs in my eyes:)

 

There are mate - but I'm not really into saloon cars (as good as some of them - eg the AMGs may be). That leaves the SL and the SLK; I like the SL but with the air suspension and its over-all GT car bulk, it does not do it for me enough to justify the price premium over a similar aged SLK. Plus for Gt appeal I have the 300zx.....:smartass:

 

......But the SLK feels more of a sports car/upmarket roadster. It's not such a driver's car as the Boxster but it's better looking and I can fit 2 suit cases in the boot (try that in a Boxster!!). Plus it has a metal foldy-roof as opposed to canvas - and to drive it, it feels like a bigger sturdier car...
