I was having a great deal of trouble finding the cause of a misfire on my no.1 cylinder. I change the coil pack twice for know good ones, checked the injector was firing properly, changed both the coil and inj connectors for new ones, tried a different spark plug but still the misfire was there!
I then had a look at my relocated PTU and the 7 pin side had been getting water in to it and had rusted up plus the loom connectors were green! A quick clean up and the misfire had gone
Need to replace the loom part that's corroded and re-think my location for the PTU (on inner wing next to batt) but I call that a result.
