black interior Question

are the interior panels/door cards etc.... black in the black leather interior or dark grey just never seen black 1s wondered if they exist

Featured Replies

Are we talking about the actual door/panel plastic or the cloth material ?

The plastics are essentially Black, but technically a very dark grey.

The Cloth Material on Panels/Doors- depends on the year/series of the car.

Series 1 (89-92)

Had grey tweed. Uk models being slightly different to import, but both grey tweed.

Series 2, 3, 4 (92-97)

Cars fitted with Leather had Dark grey suede synthetic material

Cars Fitted with Cloth seats had a Blue Velour Material instead.

Series 5,6 (97-00)

Came with Black Tweed on panels/doors as standard.

Other materials may have been optional.

* I may have got series 4 (late 94-early 97) mixed up, cant recall which group it belongs in.

** This is for Regular Black interior cars. There are some very rare Interior colour options such as Cream, Red and Blue.

ah right so the grey on the panels/door card/dash is darker than what was on the tweed interior ones.

i have the tweed and want to swap it over to leather and did'nt know if the rest of the panels were different to what ive got

You can cover the panels etc, in whatever you like, take the old tweed off and use as a template. The liklehood of getting an interior you want second hand and unmarked/faded is fairly rare.
