So, what i want to know, is now we are having hard times to get the country out of dept, what happens when we finally achieve this goal? or will they leave the goal post alone and come up with another excuse?

Dont get me wrong i understand and in a strange way i support it. but can we really trust things to go back to a reasonable level once and IF we actually drop our dept.

The VAT rise is permanent. Many years ago it was 'temporarily' raised from 10% to 12%, I've a feeling hell will freeze over before it goes back down to 10%!

This site shocks me though:- http://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html

I'm sure Portugal are on the brink of needing a bailout, but they look better off the the UK!

I totally agree with you, but unfortunately most of our public transport is owned privately (usually by the French) and, now that they have bigger monopolies, can charge what they like. Many people would be worse-off using public transport and many people simply refuse to take a bus or train through fear of getting their heads kicked in by some chav - yet another big problem here!

My brother was a bus driver before his death.

He had his head kicked in by some scroats lowlife scumbags, for stopping his bus, going upstairs to ask them to kindly NOT THROW the bus seats out of the rear fire escape window at passing cars and pedestrians. The rest of the passangers just stood by and watched, too scared to get involved. Makes me think twice before using public transport, not that I can, have you seen the buses with wheelchair access, run once every blue moon. :cursing:

the types of people that get on the bus, and the respect the young kids have is horrendous..
