What's still available from Nissan ? And what's not ?

I was just pondering what is still available from NIssan. I dont mean consummables and similar small bits and pieces like service items.

Just looking at some posts on here a new shell seems to be quite often sought after......can you get a NEW one ?

Hopefully some sensitive soul will give you a concise answer, but until that happens...

I'm a little lost as to what you expect to be available. Nissan out-source most things cept the chassis/panels and short block. Sourcing 300zx parts will be hindered due to 'Z'cars(whole) are handled by Japan main plant only (thus includes 350 and 370)... but a wiseman could maybe travel down the VQ30 route for eng spares (eg-the maxima/Vq exec car) cos(you mention shell bearings) its the same short block.

either way... I'll ask a question at the eng dept and see what comes back.(probably a 'how long ago...!!! type answer)
