wiring loom

i am taking my wiring loom out of me zed cus the car is rottern and puting it in to a good shell. Has any one eva changed looms if so is it hard to do?

i have removed the old loom (by cutting it at the bulkhead) and fitted a new one, it's not hard really mate, and if you already only have a shell, should be easy, the only awkward part is a silly bracket behind the aircon box behind the glove box, that clamps the loom to the bulkhead inside the car before it goes to the ECU, but if you've already gutted the car, should be a piece of cake!

is your loom in good nick? as if i had the funds and was doing a complete re-build, i'd get my self a new one, it's the best thing i ever bought for my zed, no reason why it shouldn't give you 15 years of no electrical gremlins...

I would get a new one, mine looked ok but when I started to play around it was very brittle.

You can get a new one for about £300.

were can u get a new loom from?

You can give Mike a try at MJP in our traders section first, as he may have exactly what you want, or be able to get it

Otherwise...

Courtesy Nissan over in the US do these by year and model, this may be of help to you..... http://www.courtesyparts.com/300zx-parts-z32-1990-1996/genuine-nissan-parts/body-electrical/240-wiring/-c-882_883_923_924.html
