checked that i had a sare tyre earlier and it looks like something of a morris minor, horrible narrow yellow thing!

then i thought id just test if all the nuts were done up tight but cant get the supplied spanner/wrench onto the nut because they are so tight to the wheel.

need to do something bout it sharpish or i'll be buggered if i get a puncture

Yes - they have a space saver wheel as there's no room for a full size one!

And the stock wheel-brace is also a bit pathetic as you cannot get enough leverage; especially if a tyre-monkey has used a compressed air gun to tighten the nuts.

Best bet is to buy one of those telescopic-handle wheel wrenches from Halfords. Then loosen the nuts off and re-tighten them to the correct torque by hand.

yeah put the actual wrench wont fit over the wheel nut, i reckon id need a normal spanner with some sorta extention for leverage to get em off. good excuse to go to srrewfix tho, i love it there

they look the original jack/wrench as they fit perfectly into the boot slot, no idea if the wheels on it are any good or not, will go take a pic in a min

i had the problem with my old alloys. the nut "hole" in the wheel was too small a diameter so had to use a thinner walled socket to undo the nuts.

from ya photo it looks like ya original nuts have been replaced by the more modern Nissan chrome closed 22mm nut. I did that too!

the actual trouble is, theres a dome on the top of the nut and the nut itself is so far down its almost inside the wheel, on the upside i guess i wont come out to find it up up bricks and the wheels nicked

Good idea Richard, screwfix do one also

Not sure what size your nuts are :tongue_smilie: but you can put any 1/2 drive socket on these

LOL.....

......but yes, that's just like the one I have!

And regarding the nut sizes, often aftermarket wheels use nuts that are a different size to the stock ones. Consequently I keep a 19mm (or maybe 17mm - I can't remember which) slim socket on the wrench!
