I've had my suspicions a couple of times recently so I set the slip down to 5%. This morning I had a major moment and have now set it down to 0% and the wheels still spin when pulling away !

When I work out what the problem is I'll let y'all know. But in the mean time keep an eye on it just in case !!!!

One clue may be that the green diag/gearchange light flickers a few times when I close the throttle before coming to a stop. I have this configured for gear change, so there's no reason for this to happen.

When I checked the config on Friday it looked fine and the logging works fine, so maybe I'll try re-training it first.

Andy,

I had the same - was showing of to a friend how good the TC was and ended up taking it sideways on a roundabout. Felt pretty stupid, pants smelt a bit too.

After taking some advice from Racelogic I plugged in the laptop and put all the settings back to default. I then went through and reconfigured most of the settings - primarily reducing the slip %, wheel speed difference, pull away etc. Took me 1/2 a day to set it up and test properly.

I'll try and document the new settings when I have time.

Andy

I did launch the other day, with 4 people in the back, it was dry but I used the wet setting, and I skidded like a bitch.

The rev limiter worked.

Also going round 90 corners my car missfires all the time. I will have to have a look at my one to.

A while back I posted my settings here somewhere .... .... Ah yes here ....

These are still the same, but I'll try what you suggested. Trouble is once you've lost confidence in the system it takes ages to build it back again (especially after my indcident this morning - would have been OK if no-one was watching ! biggrin.gif))

Well after 30 seconds spent retraining it in the company car park seems to have solved the problem. But I'm going give it a proper test when I can find somewhere with some run off space - just in case !

M8 - I had similar settings to that and it all went pear shapped - inconsistent. From first glance you need to slightly increase min speed threshold to help out of corners and reduce min dif speed figures (wet and dry). I check the exact settings over the weekend and let you know.

I too lost confidence but its been fine ever since and I now trust the system.

Yeah, I had been thinking about that but wasn't exactly sure how much change to make. Racelogic have been less than helpful - maybe they are the sort of comnpany that can only deal with telephones and not email ... frown.gif

Looking forward to comparing the config of yours ....

Hmmm, not good!!! Maybe that explains the false starts in F1 by teams using it!!! Maybe the insurance companies know something the rest of us don't aswell! mad.gif Hence why they load it as a performance mod and not a safety device...scarey!

Anders,

I'd forgotten and I guess you did too !

Have you had a chance to compare your TC settings with mine ?

Andy/Warren

Sorry m8, I will get round to it this weekend and post the configuration here.

Andy

Andy p i tried your settings and found them horrible on my car (no offence or anything) but the car just cut so hard and it did to many hop skips and jumps, changed it back to stock settings and it has been a much better difference. (just giving you input)

Andy,

I used your settings and they seem to work very well, no drama at all.

The car is a J-Spec, Auto, Stock

Warren,

That's interesting, what did you change ? I haven't modified the cut tables on mine - they were the defaults. From memory I changed the rev limiter, the wheel diameters and the # of pulses from the wheel speed sensors. There shouldn't be any argument over the last two - unless you have different size wheels/tyres.

Sorry Guys,

This is turning out to be a f*cking nightmare. I've been trying to retrieve the settings but the keyboard on my old laptop is knackered. I have a new laptop but it doesn't have a serial port!

I'll try a borrow a laptop.

Better late than never - managed to find me another laptop with a serial port.

Percentage, Slip Cut Level 1 > 004

" " " " 2 > 008

" " " " 3 > 012

Configuration, No of Cylinders > 00006

" Straight Line Overide > 003

" S.O.S Threshold - Dry > 03300

" Minimum Speed > 01500

" Minimun Diff - Dry > 00400

I have the wheel diameter set up at 00600

I have only included the setting that have been changed. All others are at default.

You may find the 0% (wet) setting to restrictive with these settings but I find it useful in very bad conditions. With these settings I am able to keep it on 5% even in the wet.

Good luck

Thanks, good info. The default setting that should definitely be changed is the wheel speed sensors. They are 46 pulse per revoultion and the wheel diameters of 626 front and 631 rear are based on standard wheel and tyre sizes.
