18' are the safe limit IIRC, I have 19's and 1 front tyre and 1 rear are badly scrubbed so deffo need a geom check!:chinese:

I have 19" on with 275 on the rearand 245 on the fronts and lowered without any rubbing :)

yeah mate. set up for fast road use and 2degrees of negative camber all round iirc.

It handles like its on rails :)

Good to know as I was thinking of downgrading the wheels.Any after market suspension needed i.e front camber links etc?:flowers:

ive had 20 inch on mine, ( tested) not kept. but with super low profile tyres. fit under both arches fine. currently on 19s with 285/ 35 on the rear and lowered on coilvers without issues, they can however rub if not set at a correct height.

not sure tbh somthing like 35 and 38 i have no idea:lol:

All i know is the tyres are fluch with the arch :turned:

19's on mine, lowered 40mm with no problems at all. can't remember the offsets though!

I've 18's on mine but have had it lowered all round. Just had the arches rolled as i was getting arch rub. Combination of being lowered and gimp offsets me thinks. I'm after a really flush fit though.

One day!! :duffer:

i would say an 18 looks spot on for a lwb, a swb can carry off a 17. anything over an 18" will be a bit of a compromise in terms of performance and ride comfort imho

Ok thanks guys I only asked as iv just bought a set of 20" wheels but i am fitting a wide arch kit to tho :).

Thanks paul

I have 19x275 and 19x245 with a 20mm drop with no problems. Slight rubbage on fronts when going over a bump but that's mainly due to having a replica bumper :(

19's on mine, rear is standard suspension, no idea of offset, can't remember, but flush with the arches, front has bilstein shockers and springs, so is lowered a bit, dunno how much, but no rubbing or any problems at all, don't think i would go any bigger than 19's tho...

Personally I'd stick with 18s.....

......19s will be fine with the necessary tyre profile adjustmsnts to compensate; but 18s will be the best compromise in handling and comfort.

Plus a 300zx will have a voracious appetite for rear tyres and 18s will cost less to replace than 19s! I know that there are a few very good "budget" priced tyres out there (Falkens consistently get good reviews here) but I personally prefer to stick with premium brands (IE Goodyear/Continental/Dunlop SP9000) and the price difference of those from 18 to 19 inch can vary a hell of a lot!!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
