Getting to grips with the Z now and will be needing a new exhaust I want to keep the twin either side as I like the look. Didnt realise how exspensive the exhaust are for a Z but I suppose there are 2 lol.

Had a power flow one years ago on a different car and was ok sounded good.

Any suggestions which exhaust to go for? its a n/a by the way probs will end been a TT but not any time soon lol.

Cheers Mark

The Japspeed system is a bargain at around £300-ish.....

....Quite a few members have one on their ZX; Gary Wilson has one on his black Z and it looks the nuts!

It's a large single pipe either side mate.

If you want to keep the stock "quad" look then the Mongoose/Blue Flame is the choice of many. I have this myself and I reckon it's a good replacement.

IIRC Luke at the Z-Centre does the Mongoose for the lowest price.....

Care is required in selecting an exhaust for an NA,

Having too large a diameter pipe will cost you power lower down the rev range.

As will having a system like the Jap speed one with its great long pipe before the silencer, unless you marry it up to some decats with built in expansion boxes like the Z centre ones.

Gas speeds and extraction are more important on an NA than a turbo car where you will have a turbo impeller spinning to assist with exhaust gas scavenging.

All of course IMHO.:tt2:
