hi all, just picked up a 300zx twin turbo, alway wanted one, an now happy i got one, but does need a bit of work tho,

 

took it for a spin an when hit around 6,000 rev it hit a big flat spot an had no power, it does smell a bit oily an smoke a little, would this be turbos gone, ??

i think its got an induction kit, i'll have a look in a min, not sure on the boost jet, it does have ajustable boost, has 2 round nobs, no idea what there set to, but thinking about it i thing it only boosted to 0.5 bar

yeah it has an inuction kit, also the car feels very under powered, i dont think its been serviced for a wile, so i'll do that,

Those look like Nitrous pipes going to the boost hoses.It can be an engine killer if not used sensibly.It may explain your oil smell.

oh right, that dont sound like a good thing, think i beter let martyn from the engine tuner have a look over it before i do anything to it,

getting blue smoke an a burnt oil smell from one zorst now, might just strip it down for parts,

yeah, test drove it, started it from cold left it running etc etc, was all ok,
