Whilst looking for 300ZX stuff on the internet, I came across this....

nissan-300zx-convertible-concept006.jpg

"eBay Find of the Day: 1991 Nissan 300ZX Spyder concept"

I then did a search on this site and could not find any mention of it.

OK, the add is a bit out of date - 18th November, but I thought there might have been a bit of discussion about it here.

Any one know if it has been sold yet? (not that I could afford it)

See if anyone can get some more info....

Cheers

A lovely car never the less....

Have to disagree

That roof ruins the lines, doesn't do anything for me - give me a vert anyday

or a targa

or an (icky) slicky

as much as i don't like the rear view of the hardtop, i do how ever think its a lovely car. and if the opportunity ever arose, i would snap that up at the drop of a hat.

Agreed. Its a nice colour, but the lines are terrible.

I really like it! :flowers:

Prefer the lines of a regular coupe but prefer it to a 'vert tbh!

Not for me, but very unique. I would be very interested to know what it sold for.

The only lines that are different are the rear hatch/screen. Everything else is the same... rear quarter screen, rear wing, rear lights etc are all standard. It would probably look more original from the rear if it wasn't for the built-in boot spoiler.

I love it, it's a great version to the line-up, and the pre-quil to the modern hardtop verts by Peugeot, Ford etc which came years later.

Quite a clean looking interior.... shows that care has been taken with this car.

I read somewhere very recently, that there are two cars. one is a greenish colour and the other is this blueish colour.

Being an enthusiast of the 300ZX in general, I would love this car to be in "my personal collection"........ along with a vert, slicky, swb, lwb, lhd, rhd, TT, NA and all in a variety of colour schemes.

Although I do not personally own this collection, nor could I afford this desired collection, I still have the joy of seeing and reading about this great collection everytime I log-on to the various 300ZX web-sites.

Thanks for all your personal preferences in making OUR collection a great one.

Long may we all enjoy this fabulous car, in all it´s different guises.

OK, large foot init, again!

I´ve just found the write-up I mis-read about 2 ASC cars....

I did not have time to delete the stupid comment I made, on the previous reply, before it was "locked"

Wot a tart!

"For the show, the car was painted in a custom color called Mallorca Green Pearl, which is sophisticated and very light-dependent. Under some conditions, it looks almost blue, but in bright sunlight, it's turquoise."

Still, the rest of their write up (unlike mine) makes good reading.

"OK,OK, my mammary is going,..... I´ve been working too many night shitfs..... and I keep making smelling mistakes"!!!

I´ll "shut-it" for now and just stick to reading.

US $52,250.00, and is has gone to a Z enthusiast, apparently.
