My wheels arrive tmoz, im just trying to find out what tyres I need tor them

They are 19s

Front are 8.5 + 20 offset

Rears are 9.5 + 35 offset

Thanks but I have no idea on this stuff, not after a stretch or anything just a nice low profile with decent grip.

Featured Replies

not sure on the profile but i would say a 245 of the front and a 265 on the back

i will be running a 225 on a 9" rim and a 255 on a 10 on mine but im after a mild stretch on mine

I'd go 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the rear....

....you might just get 275s on the back; but I'd stick to 235 on the front otherwise it could tramline like a.......... tram!!

As for make; well there will be a lot of opinions, but if money is not an object then the very best will be Goodyear Eagle F1 asymetrics. I have them on my ZX and they truly are superb! Conti Sport 3s usually come second in consumer magazine testing and, since you have a German daily drive, I guess you might already know how good they are.

Many peeps here swear by Falkens; and whilst I don't doubt their ability, they won't be as good as the Goodyears but will certainly cost half as much. But I believe they will certainly be better than half as good!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Martin got to pro tyre in fareham will sort you out been using them for about 15 years.

Yes I was gonna do that for the fitting but you get great prices on tyres on mytyres.co.uk

What would recommend using on a 17" rim. currently running 255/40 on rear and 215/45 on front, but they are the buget tyres it came with and need replacing, as they are serious ditch finders

i run 245s on the front and 275 on the rear and it seem to be a spot on set up for me :)

I had f1's on mine when i first got the zed and i found them to be deadly in the wets. same with the brigestone ponzas (whatever)

for my set up i have found the falkens to be the best all rounders as well as proxis .

bridgstone and prelli p6000 i have liked the grip on them if your looking to do burnouts on it go for continential on the back it will wear less there harder tires

Garage today told me to go for Falkens he said dont worry about never having heard of them they are excellent. He said great wet and dry grip as well as good value and good speed rating. I will probably give them a try as they are about £450 a set insted of £329 per tyre for some of the others.

If they dont work out I can just replace them with something else.

falkens are spot on

But with your power i think you will struggle with most tbh .

That is what I figured, I am going to tear them to bits on a regular basis so not worth throwing the cash away.

you could do with getting the widest. 275 i think. thats what i have got and set the rears to a soft setting so it squats nicly and will help with traction :)
