It'll dink dank do me for uni with any luck and coz its a VW i should prob get a bit back for it when i'm ready for my next Zed....

Ta!

Its my first ever German car - said I'd always stay Jap but to be honest I am not mad on the jap family type cars, even if they are good. Always fancied a VW, never really been in a position to buy one tho. Was planning on a Golf or possibly Audi A3 but this Bora was local, in almost new condition and relatively low enough miles to get me through nurse training hopefully!

Need to get over the gut wrench that will be waving goodbye to Zedward Sat morning. I've warned Marty that I will cry. Then once Ive got through that then I'm sure I'll enjoy the rock solid reliability of a top spec VW!!

Good choice there Jane - it looks a very tidy and well specc'ed example!

I'm sure it will serve you well as they are good solid motors.

Cheers Richard, I really hope so. Loved the sold feel and smooth handling of it on the test drive. Heated seats on a snowy day were also a bonus

Sure are!! Cream leather is just class and a warm botty whilst sitting on them is even better....

......Have you had a lot of snow up there? I'm off to York Saturday and I was wondering about the weather this weekend.....:sweatdrop:

Richard:cool2:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Very nice Janus it looks very clean inside and out:thumbup1:health to enjoy.

Cheers Gary - despite continuing to look, haven't found anything else like it in such good nick, think it is a good one. Was a another one locally without leathers etc, went to see that and it was minging!!

i have a bora too, v6 4 motion jobbie. its a real nice drive

we can set up a 300zx/bora owners section:rockon:

German motors are very well engineered. i had a golf mk2 GTI in black, had a Audi engine in it. 1.8 liters. drove it everywhere, then one day i needed to sort the exhaust out. jacked the car up, only to find one of the metal plugs that go in the side of the engine was missing and there was no water in it. haven't got a clue how long it was like this as by this point had only had the car for about 3 weeks. got it cheap as when my mate had it, it kept getting broken into. anyway, dunno how many miles it had done like that with no water in. but kept going and didn't over heat??? so work that one out. then i swapped it for another GTI. which then blew its head gasket after 2 weeks. and it still drove on 2 cylinders. it blew between pistons 2 and 3 on a 4 cylinder engine. yet the engine still ran and was good enough to get me to the garage for a quote for work. £360 i got quoted. so instead went and got a head gasket set and did it my self. ran like a rocket after that. but found out some daft bugger had put diesel oil it in, but it still ran fine after the HG was sorted out.

Solid engines to be honest.

Indestructible!! Awesome, hope I don't break mine tho lol!

It will be referred to as the Boring or Borat in our house lol but I think it'll do the job, in style and comfort and still not be a slouch

I sold my Bora v6 4 motion to get a zed !

Had less than 45k on the clock all leather interior and lowered beyond belief.

I miss her but prefer the thrill of the zed !

Pics please :flowers:

i have the best of both worlds then :tt2:

except the fuel consumption:thumbdown:

The Bora won;t be as thirsty as Zedward tho I hope! When I was test driving it the dash said I was getting 44.9mpg.....

  • Author
mine averages about 33 with mixed driving, the zed is around 25

That'll do me - I don't drive to work so don't spend a fortune on petrol at the moment but that'll change when I start nursing
