Anyone changed the kingpin bearings ?

Hi,

 

Was wondering if anyone has changed the kingpin bearings in their car? Just wondering if there is anything particularly awkward about it.

    Do you mean bottom ball joint?

    No, the kingpin is the top pivot point on the hub carrier, the BBJ is the bottom one.

     

    Ball joint feels ok.

    Looking at the manual, these bearings are massive- looks to me that this is one component that should never wear out! Unless you crack a roller with a prang or pothole or something.
