Are they all so brutal?,,,had an extraction this morning, was in there 40 mins,,was like having my face pulled off!

Mines a woman and she pulled me one out two month ago. I thought she was going to climb on my lap she was yanking that much, then codine for two weeks to cure the pain. Evil they are, evil.

I have just found a decent one, has only taken me 30 odd years.

I was so shocked, even all the staff are nice.

I have had so many bad experiences with dentists over the years .. makes marathon man look tame.

my girlfriend works at a dentists, so i get all my work nice and cheap, or just do some plumbing jobs to cover. Out of any teeth you may get removed. normal teeth are ok (all mine are)

Upper Wisdom teeth a bit of a pull, but out in no time.

Lower Wisdom teeth. MADNESS, even with lots of injections, the dentist still was kneeling on my chest and litterally with brute force, as the nurse held my head still. Took ages to get the sod out.

Now no wisdom teeth.

my new dentist (havent been in 13 years!) gave me 2 fillings the other week and the descale was the most painful thing!

i am dredding an extraction!

i had a lower molar out,,it was getting the roots out that was bitch, one was curved apparently,,,

I have been very lucky to have found an NHS dentist, who takes a real pride in his work, and like me would rather repair than remove teeth.

As a bonus, his receptionist is magnificent, a buxom blonde with superb teeth!

aaarrggh, dentists, I've been more times than anyone (manchester university dental hospital), most of my adult teeth never appeared, very rare case, got pictures of my mouth in loads of text books for university students, still got loads of baby teeth and some really bizzarre ones, (what is left of them) and I'm 27! Have had braces since being a little kid, most of them pulled out, caps, some filed down, you name it, and all they ever did was leave me with less teeth that ache 24 hours a day and eating is hard work...! had a back tooth removed not long back that was a baby tooth, which the roots had fused to my jaw bone because it had been in there since a toddler, now that was a barsteward to get out i'm tellin ya!

omg tudor,,that sounds dreadful!!,,this morning was the first time i could rinse my mouth,,,feels sooooo gooooood!

Flippin' 'eck Tudor - I don't envy you mate!!

Steevo, I hope your mouth gets better quickly. I have had a couple of extractions in the last 2 years and, whilst they were painless during surgery, it was a bugger eating for a few days after each one.

Luckily I heal quickly so the bleeding stopped almost immediately and after a week the holes were gone. Take care cleaning your teeth for the first couple of days and, if you get food in the socket, I found that a cotton bud soaked in TCP did the trick!!

Now I don't like the gaps left so I'm thinking about dental implants - although at £1000+ a go I'm not sure it's worth it. And I'm sure it will hust as well.....

The dental hospital had to speak to the NHS and get some kind of grant for 100 grand (truth) to do all my work, I wouldn't have to pay because I was born with it, only for them to feck it all up and say I might have to have over dentures instead, i also would need to have my jaw dislocated, and bone grafts from my hip to fettle my jaw line where my front middle bottom teeth go, apperantly very very painful, madness...!

i had a filling fall out, so went to the dentist to get a clean up and a new one, bugger was drilling for oil or something, hit the nerve, so stuck some antiseptic filler in for a few days, god the pain was unbearable, felt like my tooth was trying to push its self up through my jaw bone to run away. in the end the pain was that bad, i went to the dentist and just asked them to rip it out. soon as they pulled it out. i have to admit no more pain, hell didn't even need pain killers.

The last tooth i had that i needed dentist treatment for, was due to biting onto something hard in a sandwich or something, cracked the tooth into 4 sections. ended up using a pair of pliers and ripping it out my self. much easier and a lot less hassle.

Your not a man till you have at least pulled one tooth out by your self with a pair of pliers lol

Just dont do it infront of the Mrs like i did. never seen anyone throw up that fast before in my life
