Tried and tried bleeding and bleeding...

Still air bubbles and heating still going cold, then starts overheating.

Cannot seem to find a leak apart from water dripping from the offside front of the car, top hose goes solid under load.

Pulling my *beep* hair out now... what or who is going to fix this and for how much?

I know nothing about cars.

*beep* CAR!

I am still puzzled how after the running issues were all sorted and running well it has gone so bad? so quickly too, no offence matey but despite what you hear, a good engine has to go very bad before needing a rebuild, did it have a real major overheat thats caused damage or is you still just have a leak that is causing the overheat issue you have due to loss of water because is so, stop loss of water = no everheat fixed engine, dont give in just yet.

Just bubbles in the rad, no mayonnaise..

Jeff = No idea, sniff test should turn up tomorrow, not sure still, but heater still going cold/hot, then after a journey needs topping up again, then more bubbles... then goes round in circles like that, I can't see a leak with the system under pressure after stopping??? Driving me nuts, so resorted to this.

hmmmmmm, me is thinking fan? when it does overheat it seems the fan spins same speed as it does idle???

Any ideas? Doesn't seem loud at all.

It does rev right up on very first cold start though.

..... Still waiting on sniffer test parcel too lol

when you spin the main fan by hand with engine off does it offer some resitance, if not could be the fan clutch that needs replacing?

I believe that it should stay blue if its ok, mine turned grrenish yellow from memory.

Sorry just scrolled to see the colour change thats head gasket faliure bud, do it a couple of times when it is warmed up to double check it.

Damn, just been quoted £600 to do the headgasket work, never realised but a mate of mine who is a mechanic used to work on Zeds 24/7 for about 10 years.

Got a quote from D2 for £1600... But I think that's for both heads skimmed and the gaskets.

Just checked on the net and green is commonly associated with an Exhaust to water system leak (same as mine as it goes). Without HG faliure it will stay blue indefinately as its the leaking gas that changes the colour. Its a pisser when you see it change colour, I tested mine on another car and it stayed blue then I knew I was in trouble lol.

Engine out is easiest way! Plus u can have a good look over everything hoses etc, also do a plenum & egr bypass...new cam belt new water pump while your at it if u haven't done them already?

Thanks peeps and all good advice, just been told the £600 is for both heads skimmed, gaskets and all labour, not bad.

Quite lucky I suppose.

Still p'd about the head anyway, just has to sit there looking all sorry for itself lol

Probably will buy thermostat, water pump and stuff for it as well as that bypass.

Been looking into running it 100% glycol after it's all done to keep parts in good shape (and running life) and to raise the boiling point so it should cool the block better instead of the water boling inside along with a uprated oil cooler and koyo rad, any ideas on this?
