hi there, i have managed to fix my cruise control, i would now like to modify the brain to Euro spec, it is currently Jap spec and limited to 69 mph, i understand there is a simple mod which will increase this limit, does anybody have the instructions on what components to move or replace on the ASCD main board.

thankyou Mr Groover, you are indeed the daddy, are you going to Zedworld on the 19th ???

Good luck with the mod, it is very fiddly as a DIY job. I had a crack at it, but failed.

Then I bought a UK spec ECU for £15, straight swap, job done.

It now cruises upto 105mph.

Just a note, if you do swap the ECU as apposed to mod it, be sure to get one with the right loom connection. There are 2 types, a 16pin and a 20pin.

groover, i have a 20 pin Cruise brain, its a 93 model car, is there a mod i can carry out to up the max spped limit, ( its currently a jap spec 69 MPH) unit

thanks

The mod you need is the second link in thread 2 for 92' onwards, instead of desoldering and moving the ceramic resistors, the board on the later series has smd resistors (surface mount) You will need to use a solder wick or desolder pump and do one end of the smd at a time, you may need a magnifying glass as they are very small.
