I'm trying to remove the perspex strip at the back and have found it secured by the clips in the photo.

What's the best way of removing these?

[Took 50 photos before I got this clear shot! Not easy taking a photo through a 1" hole with all of the other obstructions, including my head...]

Haven't done this myself, but it looks like that you need to squeeze the two tabs on the sides of the fitting, hth

the ones taht hold the persex strip in the tailgate? they should just pop out. if i remebr correctly the clip and strip are seperate

Pliers to squeeze the tabs on either side of the clip, the clips are attached to the perspex strip, so if you are saving the strip, dont pull it lol

Thanks Groover. I am definitely saving the strip (especially as it also has a brake light). I'll squeeze them and hope for the best.

Thanks to everyone's advice and managed to remove the strip this morning, with all clips intact.

Was quite a fiddly job as access is severely restricted and had to double backwards, and I found using a flat-blade screwdriver to push each clip 'wing' worked best for me.

Off to the bodyshop for a re-spray tomorrow and then the simple matter of fitting an OEM spoiler...
