track only, probably.

guy I bought them from got'm with the RX7 he'd bought. Hated them. T

hey didn't really come into their own until the rubber warmed up and he said "noisy as hell"... not to mention a pertty rough ride.

Look good for about 3 or 4 track days. Maybe a meet in there somewhere...

Safe way to do things! I went out in an RX7 with R888 a few years ago. My mate had them fitted and decided to go straight out for a blast. I S%*t myself and so did he. Like you said, when cold there lethal but once warmed up they make very good track day tyres :) Good buy tho!

good call, definately keep the 888's for track use only, especially this time of year

Got Alloys :)

Now the fronts have 225 rubber on them and rears 265... both with about 4M+ tread. so seams a shame to just bin the rubber.

What will my 300 drive like with these? I'm used to running 245's all the way around.

**also fronts 18x8J rears 18x9J... these r888's going to fit straight on when i decide to track??

Looks good mate!!

I also run with 225/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rears and my car drives and handles just fine! I suppose I could/should have gone 235 on the front but I just replaced with the same sizes already there.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

You'll be fine and there's no reason why the 888's won't go straight on :)

took advantage of the warmer day today and stuck them on. Wasn't sure for first 10 minutes or so, but starting to grow on me.

REally liking the way the 225's feel on the front... Will see about grip at some point, but for now - sold on the size. Turn effortlessly.

..will hold off sticking the Toyo R888's on until Spring time.
