Spark plugs...

I was told a 1.1mm gap for my Z and a heat rating of 5 or 6...

My friend has ordered these for me, but I noticed it has an 0.6mm gap and a heat rating of 8.

Are these any good or am I going to have to tell him to poke it because they're wrong??

True, I did ask for them, but he 'insisted' lol

Just found on MA-18 of the service manual:

Standard Type: N/A - PFR6B-11 TT - PFR6B-11C

Hot Type: N/A - PFR5B-11 TT - PFR5B-11C

Cold Type: N/A - PFR7B-11 TT - PFR7B-11C

And it says 'platinum tipped'

BUGGER!!... Oh well, I know where these Iridium plugs are going! lol

Depends on what's been done to your car but 8's are way too cold for a nearly standard Z. With stock turbos and stuff stick to PFR6B-11B

sorry for hijacking but i am at the moment having a build done and im sure jeff in tamworth knows which plugs to fit but i would welcome second opinions ..i will be running PE1420 turbos , 555 injectors ,forget internals , rods and pistons cometik head gaskets mike smith manifolds, border front mount intercooler and 3 inch cat less exhaust with an AEM EMS .....what would be the best plug for that , i dont intend to use crazy boost levels but enough to get me around the 450 rwhp mark ( if i can get the AEM set up and mapped correctly )

cheers

Steve
