UK vs Jap spec gearboxes difference?

Hey folks anyone know if there are differences between the UK spec and Jap spec manual gearboxes??? Something i read just caught my eye tonight

    UK box has outlets for an external cooler.

    Yes i spotted it too and i didnt think there was differences in strengths either how bizarre anything to sell something these days
