get a sort of knock / clunk noise when slowing and coming to a halt and when i go up slight kerb on to the drive. someone I had in the car said they felt a knock/vibration in the footwell ? Had front tension rod bushes done a few years back and had poly ones put in. Also running Tein suspension which is pretty firm. Could this be the Tensions rods ? or something else ?

Could be anything!-I had this on the wifes shorty and found the tension rod bolts loose in the lower arms!-worth checking!

The arms are known to fracture around the bolts as well so a good look is needed!

^^^ one of my old zeds started creaking at the front - this is what I found:

good lord ! that has got me thinking best get it looked at ! Cheers for quick replies

Assuming your lower arms haven't cracked and the tension rods are ok, the clunking/knocking noises could be worn lower arm ball joints.

BTW, the arms are more prone to cracking when poly bushes are used in the tension rods, because of the lack of compliance the poly bushes provide over the silicon filled OEM's.
