This has to be my fave place on the planet LOL! Thought I would share a few pics with you all :)

It cost £3500 for the pair of us for 10 nights including upgrading the room from a basic "bungalow" to a beach villa & to upgrade the all inclusive program (the basic AI means you eat in the buffet restaurants & drink local spirits, beers & house wines etc - the upgrade allowed premium spirits, cocktails & a range of al a carte restaurants to eat in which were simply stunning!!)

 

Not a cheap holiday but is a truly amazing experience!! :thumbup:

No, Kuredu was earlier in the year :x: This was Kuramathi: http://www.kuramathi.com/

 

To be honest we preferred the actual island of Kuredu, but the dining at Kuramathi & range of drinks was amazing (& we do like to eat & drink LOL!!)

 

The house reef was better also at Kuramathi.

 

Both were stunning really!! :D

That looks awesome. 10 yrs ago I went on my honeymoon to Mexico, last time I had a holiday, I think I am well overdue one!!!

we have just come back from Medhafushi in the Maldives from Honeymoon it was fantastic ....ahh the memories going back in 5 years

That does look good, the Maldives are on my list of places to visit.

Kuramathi is lovely, was there on honeymoon in March this year, can't wait to go back, could be a while tho :)

I'm going to have to take the wife there, it looks real nice.

 

I doubt there's much about for the kids though, ah give her a bucket and spade and she'll be happy.

Amazing place! I was there in 2006 for 2 weeks. Only way to descibe the Maldives is Paradise :) Did you get to your island on the water planes?

First time we went by sea plane - dead cool experience flying over the atolls!

 

This time we went by speed boat. Saw dolphins jumping around on the return trip!

Our flight got in late and the sea planes stopped flying at 6 because it's dark. We were put on speed boats and taken to a small reef island for 1 night so we got to see 2 Islands for the price of 1 :) It was an experience on the speed boat in complete darkness with the throttle full out! People we're screaming when we hit a fair size wave and came out of the water I thought it was amazing lol! We had to come back to the main Island on the boat the following morning to get on the sea plane which was fantastic :)

Me and the missus are flying off to Sri Lanka on the 4th December and stopping off at Meeru Island on the way back http://www.meeru.com/Default.aspx for the last 6 nights.

 

In a dilema at the moment as we have booked to take the speed boat from the mainland to the Island but fancy the Seaplane just to get the fantastic view as we come across to land at the island.

 

Can't wait :):)

But I have to highlight the fact that missus C's Li'l Black Dress looks suspiciously like the same one that was entered into Miss 300zx.co.uk earlier this year... Now either you're too tight to buy your lovely missus a nice new dress, or actually you went to Butlins for a long weekend and just posted up your pics from last year - just to look flash!
