If it's a jap spec, remeber the screw thats towards the top of the window guide towards the back of the door accessible from the outside. (Confused?)It sit's behind a removable cover abut the size of a 1p and is removed with a small screw driver. How long did it take to find that bastard? Don't ask.

That'll be the little black plastic cap that hits you in the eye each time you prise it out !

The question I have is how the hell are you supposed to remove the door panel, to say fix a window motor problem, when the window is stuck up thereby covering the screw ?!? What a brilliant piece of design ! Fortunately, it's not happened to me yet ...

Thanks for the help guys checked the link and noticed that in the photos there seems to be no seat belt do i have an odd model as my seat belts are attached to the doors?

I think seatbelts moved off the doors between Series I and Series II, would have been about mid '92.

Mines a 90 jap import and has the belts on the doors. You will have a bolt at the bottom to remove and then will have to remove the plastic cap from the rear piller to get access to the bolt that holds the top of the belt on. I removed the lot recently as a cable was catching the glass and the job was very straight forward once you know about the secret access to the seatbelt top bolt.
