All I can tell you is that it is at the very back near the knock sensor connection the buzzing does have something to do with the cas unit though as I disconnects the cas and it buzzed for a split second and that was it then plugged it back in and it was continues again.

I have tried applying the throttle still nothing I think it could be my cas unit if I can get it running the first thing I will have to do is take it to zed world for them to have a look

cas is at the front though :confused1:

Try putting a screwdriver to your ear and on the cas and it might help pinpoint the sound?

is it an auto if it is check the TPS voltage a friend had his buzzing at the rear of the engine was the TPS out re-adjusted and all ok after hope this helps

The tps (Throttle Position Sensor) is on the passenger side throttle body. It's a little black box.

ahhh now i know what your on about lol yeah i will check it tomorrow when i have time and see if i can re-adjust it slightly to see if that helps cheers for all the help :)

  • 2 years later...

bump, i have this noise when i apply throttle with the engine off. adjusted the tps to 0.45 v on closed idle. still doing it,

throttle off = silence

partial throttle= buzzing at back of engine....

are there any switches on the throttle pedal?

have you tried moving the harness at the back of the engine?

have you checked all the connectors for corrosion and good connection?

and the little fuse box to make sure they are all good (particularly the fuel pump one)

i am moving the throttle by hand at the throttle bodies, so that would illiminate the pedal.

i will have a look at the other stuff thanks

anybody else able to shed some light
