You might have one of the little pins bent on one of the multiplug connectors or a break in a track. When you take the pod off, undo the 2 screws on the back cover and have a close look at the board. Also pull off the 2 multiplugs and check the pins.

cheers Graham I thought it might be something like that ill have a proper look tonight.

Thanks Craig

No thats cool, its just that i had some dodgy red leds at one point, i found that the anode leg was wrong and they were fine on their own but wouldnt work in a circuit. They were sent back when i found out lol

Do you the rest of the dash lights work? If you had a fuse blown for instance, it can affect the on/off lights. Although they work independently of the main lighting circuit, they have a dim effect when the lights are turned on.

well the digital display works the auto button works i think and the windcreen heater, Its all the rest on the pod, like youve said its probaly a loose connector or something, I Have a spare set of pods on my breaker so I can try them aswell

Yes if you have a spare pod, give it a try, im certain it will be a board problem and probably nothing glaringly obvious.
