Should Dazzy McVert pull his weedy little NA lump from the vert and replace it with a proper mans engine. TT power :gunsmilie:

All in the interests of research Daz - honest

TT it, drive it like a grandad, and it will be worth lots more. then when you sell it on, let the other owner worry about how crap it is going fast.

After considering my initial post I have now decided to change my mind (where's my handbag?)

After looking at Daz's TT, I can only assume that he really has got the best of both worlds. Why go to all the bother of putting a TT engine in it, when he can just pick up another set of keys instead? As for using the TT as a donor car - WTF? It's far too nice to be butchered for its throbbing-manifold-mcnuggets:wacko:

Best thing is too keep things exactly the way they are, with the possible exception of driving the TT a little more often...

(If you need to beef up your limp wrists Daz, I'm ready for another haircut soon!! :winkiss:)

Well said that man:tt1: you know what i`m talking about!!! My limp wrists are already beefed up due to all the bishop bashing I`ve done thinking of how my vert will look next year :winkiss:

My reccomendation, as somebody who has done a NA>TT Convertible conversion, dont bother.

The idea may sound great on paper, but Nissan kept the Convertible as an NA for a reason. The vert chassis is all wrong for TT power its just not meant to go fast or be driven hard and it does'nt do either very well, keep it as a stylish cruiser or regret ruining it.

Bugger - have just done this conversion  but haven't driven it on the road as yet as need to do MOT. At least it'll be fast in a straight line!

That's my thought as well - leave it alone!! Daz has a TT for "proper" driving so another reason not to bother. Plus Daz's 'vert is a mighty fine car so why mess with it....??

But that V8 option does sound interesting.......

Hi Phil,

I guess I will always have a soft spot for a V8 - then again I reckon most of us do!!!
