Well, I like Ed China anyway - the other guy is a :censored:

 

However, every episode they fail to take into account the cost of Ed's handywork, which really gets my goat - especially when they sell for a £500 profit and start slapping each other on the back.. £250 for two weeks work? Don't you get that on the dole nowadays?

 

They'd never take on a Zed - you may as well set fire to two grand if you want your fingers burnt! Even ed can't bodg.... fix an ailing Zed!

 

Now then, lets buy a mini for £300, spend 2 weeks and £2000 fixing it up - then sell it for £2500! That's what I call profit, yeah baby!

That buyer worked for them, no way he's have got that much for that impreza...

Those stripes were horrid and I would never have given them £5400 for it.

well i read on a internet site somehwere that wheeler dealers is not meant as a seious program but is meant as tongue in cheek, it was said a lot of the buyers were friends or relatives of the film crew,the vehicles them selves have ended up on ebay on several occasions after filming and advertised as being used in a tv show (look at top gear they are legally not alowed to sell any vehicles they use to the public) i would imagine wheeler dealers would be the same, if you look carefully at a lot of the episodes you will see extra jobs done to the cars (take last weeks landrover) look at one of the shots at the end when they are driving it and the headlining looked brand new after x amount of years on a farm it would not be in that condition, there was also a old episode where they showed a shot of the car with the wheels off and it had brand new discs and calipers all round these were not included at the end when adding up the figures, also there was something in the sierra cosworth episode but cant remember what.

 

the guy i bought my zed off sent several emails asking them if they would like to buy it as a project for the show, they never got a reply

the little fat dude does my nut in ! the guy in the garage is ok he explains a few minor details as he foes which can be helpfull or interesting, but as for the little cheapskate in his leather jacket, i hate his guts, maybe in real life he is a real nice guy, but on the show he is a complete muppet :D

i see mr brewer is out with our troops now in afghanistan doing a series on discovery channel on mondays nights its good actually.

Of course Mike Brewer does not diagnose all the problems on the test drive to camera :no: and then it goes to Edd and finds he his spot on with all of them, for instance last night on the scoobie the discs being warped.

Clearly it goes into the workshop, faults are clarified in there on what the viewers will see and then Brewer will do his bit to camera after.

I enjoyed the show last night, thought it was the nearest with the mods/uprated stuff we have ever had on there to the Zed :thumbup1:

Mike Brewer is ok!....I sold him the floorings for his current house and he does like Z's!

We used to chat about my 300ZX and cars in general.I have offered him a Z or ZX model if he needs one for one of his shows!
