Definitely check the power steering fluid before you do anything else. I had this on mine a while ago, it was slowly leaking fluid. I kept it topped up until Jeff at ZedWorld replaced a faulty pipe.

most likely the same pipe I've just had to replace has now corroded around the collar that's half way up it. look under the car for any signs of drips, it will be a red colored oil and most likely coming from the foam covering the pipe. Pipe is located under the car on the front sub frame.

That's the one. ZedWorld do a replacement pipe that is much stronger than the original. Well worth doing for peace of mind. Hope you get it sorted.

My Hicas light comes on after driving non stop for 30-40 min (motorways) previous owner said it was because there is a aftermarket steering wheel on and the sensor wasn't connected? Fluid lecel is fine.

Sorry for the Hijack!

mine does it occasionaly for a mnuite or so after a cold start. after that its fine.

Defo fluid level, when cold it must just be on the threshold of bringing the light on, once the fluid is moving and warms up it expands a little hence the light goes off, just needs a top up.
