Does anyone run their Zed with an Optima battery in it? Was thinking about a yellow top one if the dimensions are gonna let me fit one in.

 

Or are there any better batteries on the market?

Yellow tops are huge you'll be quite content with a red top in there. Very very good batteries.

In my experience it depends what sort of thing you're going to use them for. If its for a daily driver then they seem to be OK and if its for a stripped out track car they seem to be ideal but if its a normal car with drains from alarm systems and i.c.e equipment etc and you're only going to be using it at weekends etc they don't seem to be very good. They don't cope well with even the slightest drain over a period of time at all. Used to have to use a booster pack to start the s14a almost everytime :) HTH
