Did you grind back the top of the skirts to remove some material or did you fill straight over as is?

I remember you talking to me about doing this at JAE and after seeing the reuslts so far, you made a good choice.

Yes bud i did that on the door filler and a bit on the top edge of the skirts but i also cut the flange that sits on top of the sill off and just bonded it to the face of the sill , main reason was the door gap was getting very tight with the skirt wrapping over into the door shut , this way i could blend them into the sill without closing the bottom door gap too much and keep it looking more natural , there wasn,t a problem with the skirts it,s just me i,m a fussy bugger about things like that ! lol

i am currently sanding my kit down and possibly going to blend the skirts in. i have to say im enjoying doing it. such a good feeling to see your own car come on like that. top work fella:)

its the scarab mate and thanks:) also got the fog light ducts to go in:)

..Hmmm.. he mutters whilst tapping his fingers on his chin . :innocent: lol

I do like that , was toying with changing my bumper but still undecided , i,ve got a front mount on it now and i,ve got to trim the bumper a bit for clearance but it seems a shame to cut up a 99 spec !

..Sits back now and wait for a barage of pm,s about the bumper.. :crying:

you have done a fantastic job of blending it on, im not a fan of the smooth look because it makes the side of the car to big where as the line break it up. But like a i said spot on job

Expanding foam is a no no from me. with it all open it gives the wind chance to get up in there and drives the damp out. If your worried about mud etc just get your hose pipe in there while your cleaning you car :)

As for mr Beans bumper i will be geting it soon

First dibs on the 99 front!:ninja: does seem a shame to cut it up and it's the right colour!:ninja::whistling:
