I use Lynbrook classic car insurance, with a 8k miles limited policy and it cant be your daily driver, it doesn't give you NCB on the policy either..

I'm with Lynbrook - classic car policy costing me about £260. but i needed to have another car on a normal policy for car to qualify for "classic" policy (other policy is not with Lynbrook)

£1500 sounds an awful lot, might be worth trying a normal policy : try Adrian Flux or Carol Nash.

Likewise if you do a search, the whole insurance subject has come up many times before. I'm sure you'll find something cheaper.

Another  for Lynbrook as well.

Pab, you gave me there details last year and I've just changed to them saved £70 plus have more miles on the policy as well cheers :duffer:

and another vote for Lynbrook too! they beat everyone hands down!

Say you got the recommendation through the club and I think you get a better rate too :w00t:

i limited mine to 3000 miles as its not a daily . £221 with an agreed valuation of £5000 .

mind you i have just turned the wrong side of 40 . that was with barry grainger . found them on one of those price comparison sites

Well i'm pleased to be of help mate. - you cant argue with that really - a saving and more miles.

Mine is limited to 8000 a year i think, but they never asked for the original mileage so i don't know how they would check??

I only have lynbrook left really to try when I finish work

cant imagine there going to come down into the hundreds though

Im a bit fed up now

Im being quoted the same prices as I paid when I had the twin turbo when I was 20

all thats changed in that time Is Im 7 years older and havent got any NCB due to me and my missus sharing the car in her name

stupidly if I change the car to a TVR Cerbera with a value of 11k the insurance quote barely changes its all one big joke

You might be pleasantly surprised - I am old, female, full NCB and even I was getting stupid quotes for the Zed - eventually found one company who got me a sub £500 quote, went with them, then Lynbrook quoted me sub £300 so I cancelled the above policy and went with Lynbrook. Even with a £50 cancellation fee I was quids in! Just be prepared to wait a little while with Lynbrook - not the fastest to quote and only open office hours so if you can call during the day, they might get on it a bit faster (or they might be closed when you finish work!!)

check out the policy, perhaps call them. do they explicitly state that you don't earn NCB? I did as a named driver on my wifes car.

you may just have to bite the bullet on the insurance for the 1st year i lost all my no claims when the mrs got her motability car so when i insured the zed i was starting from scratch cost me £900

Ive just paid £104 with 1500 miles per year limit. Fully comp with Footman James.

Happy days!
