As most people know i've got two zeds, a NA and a TT !

 

I've receently removed both plenums in order to do a plenum swap !

 

I've been told theres no reason this cant be done but heres the problem

i'm now facing !

 

The Silver NA has two hard copper pipes that join into the plenum as the

picture below shows :

 

 

 

Now the problem is on the plenum off the TT there is actually just two cover

plates which seal over the two holes, my 96 TT doesn't have these pipes and

when trying to fit the plenum from the TT everything nearly lines up but the

pipe bracket the bolts go into on one side angle has changed and now does

not fit !

 

Can anybody tell me if these pipes can be eliminated or do i need to find

another NA plenum ?

 

Second is i'm looking to spray the top of the engine which is under the

plenum; think its the camshaft covers, can anyone tell me if these could

take being powder coated or will i just have to do a rattle can?

they are part of the EGR system, and its a system that can be eliminated, not sure how hard it would be to do with the engine in, but it was a pain in the arse trying to get it off my knackered engine with it out the car.
