Well managed to sort out the power steering leak, and for some reason today when reconnecting the belt for the water pump, i bought it up to temperature and no leaking anywhere, very strange even made sure there was coolant in the rad.

So thought id decide to take it down to the local for some go go juice. put £20 in it, and started driving home, took it around the local ring road as i wanted to see if she would hold her temp, went to put my foot down to over take a pug 106, the moment i hit boost, there was a very loud pop and no power? it drives, just no power at higher boost levels, it almost feels as if something is trying to drag the car backwards in spurts is the only way of describing it. like I'm getting serious det issues.

Boost leak? or wet MAF as it did rain quite hard yesterday.

Just read this thread..man i'm gutted, as i said the only prob i had was that bolt the AA fixed,

And as for the cutting out at the junction!! OMG Thats terrible.

i have to say it, because it happens to everyone, dont you find that when you buy a car from some one who states she's perfect, you have nothing but problems.. what a lying git..except in this case of course. I know what you are going through, the MR2 and Pajero i bought are given me problems, especially the Pajero.

Best of luck once again, and keep in touch

Rich

(for those at the back, it was my car before Vodka bought it)

Richard don't worry your self I'm sure its something stupidly simple. the engine isn't knocking, no smoking from the turbos, and the body work doesn't have any rust. so as far as I'm concerned, although it seems like a lot of things have gone wrong, i just call it a set back, there really isn't anything major wrong so that's the main thing. **touch wood**

I am being extra careful is all so it might sound worse than what it is, due to the fact I'm describing it in great detail to get the best possible help back.

She runs fine, holds her temp, oil temp is good. and i have a spare car that i know is good for parts, i just need to track down whats causing it, find out why, then fix as appropriate.

Only problem with hesitation issues, is that it can be caused by a number of things, including but not limited too,

- Cas

- PTU

- MAF

- Water temperature sensor

- Coil packs

- Injectors

- vacuum hose's

- Bad fuel

and a lot more, so you see, its not as bad as it sounds, its just the tediousness of trying to check everything to see if its any one of the many things that go into making this such a great car run so smooth.

I'm sure ill find it, I've already started my search, i have back tracked over what i did, and am now starting to eliminate things. Once I've found out what the cause was / is, ill put a solution up for anyone else who happens to suffer the same.

It could even cure its self once i fill her up again. I'm just waiting to use as much in the tank as possible with out scrapping the crap out of the tank and trying a different garage, make sure that fuel is not the problem before i start taking things apart and changing things. i might not have to yet.
