Can anyone help??

 

I currenty have an auto swb with a mines ecu and am doing a manual converion shortly, I also have a Manual JWT chipped ecu, Will this be able to be used when i do the conversion???

 

Just wondering as i know the mines ecu cannot be remapped and the JWT can but dont know if i can use it? or should i just sell it?

You can use the same ECU, the autobox has its own ECU which you no longer need.

The Ecu is for engine management, not gearing. HTH

Cheers Graham i thought that was the case would just prefer using the JWT ecu if i can as im sure i will need to get the car remapped when its back together and would save me having to buy another ecu at a later date. If i can use it i will keep hold of it, if not ill sell it.

Sell them all and get one off AndyP for £100. or get a ecu and send it off to andy to get it socketed :)

Not sure mate you will have to open it up to have a look. Im sure Mines would of soldered the chip it??

yeah the mines one is soldered in and thats the auto ecu, The JWT is a manual one (the one i want to use)

Best off getting a new one then. and sell everything on :)

I think the mines one will be fine as long as you run the higher octane :)

seems to be fine on 99ron was just thinking though when i put the new engine in with 555 injectors its gonna need remapping so ill just buy an ecu then. What do you think a JWT chipped manual ecu is worth???

Yeah your best off with a custom map anyway. with the chips you have at them min your car will not run with the 555 injectors in.

It runs really lumpy and just stalls.

 

i have seem some chips on here go for £50?

so if i said £100 with the ecu??

you would get that just for the ecu on ebay i should imagen?

£150 then??
