I doubt it's worth risking your wiring/fuses TBH Dave.....

......if you have HIDs then you'll probably hardly use full beam anyway. If you do, then go for tried and tested bulbs like Osram Nightbreaker of Phillips Xtreme Power standard wattage.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

If they don't affect the wiring etc then go for it mate - even the 130w as they'd be brighter!!

Just get a set with a nice pure white light as they look better and will prove more effective on the road!

Yeah want to get pure white. Ive used 100W but never 130W

would it blow a fuse before melt a wire??

I'd have thought so mate - the fuses are there to protect the circuits and prevent such disasters! At least that's what should happen.......

No idea TBH mate!!

Try it and see - the lower fuse rating should remove the risk of fried wires I'd reckon; as it would blow earlier.....

if that fails why not fit a hid harness it that just adds a new live feed and a relay so your dip beams work off direct battery power (yes thats what those fet relays by the under bonnet fuse box are on some j spec models)

You might be better with a set up like this - should give you a 1000watts :whistling::whistling:

Better than a piddling 130w bulb!!!

Could do but it might ruin the front a little :batman:

You might be right - all those spots will catch the eye :glare:

When I took my lights apart, I fit 100watt bulbs for the main beam and then tested on a bench if you like.

Found them unreliable and went back to the Phillips 50w watts that never let me down. The last thing I wanted was to fit some bulbs that needed changing on a regular basis as we all know on a TT access is terrible.

I do have 50w HID's and it still makes a difference in distance vision when going to the 50w bulbs in the main beam.

100w and 130w main beam is not only illegal, uneccessary probably and could cause more damage than it's worth.

Will no doubt blow 5 and 10amp fuses, if you want to run these bulbs use a short thick nail as the fuse
