Am i losing it? or do other people have this too.

 

Your driving along, you come across a nice car, say Audi, Golf GTI ect, and the moment they spot your car, they start driving like they want a race? now don't get me wrong, id love to oblige, after all i have just got it. and its really tempting to give it a bit to show um. but no point in getting a car just to wrap it around a tree / post / garden fence / police car..

 

Just seems every one wants to try and race me now lol

Yep get the same with mine, whether crappy saxo's or corsa's, but most offten audi TT and beemers. Sometimes i wont play, due to traffic / weather, but most of the time its like red flag to a bull................:clap:

There is also the problem if you do thrash them they don't like it and give you a ****ers sign

yeah saxo drivers seem to think they have ferrari power under the bonnet they get right up ur arse think they can take ya and when u slightly put ur foot on the peddle .... they then realise ... o my engine is the same size as the penis on my foorhead ... really small and not worth talking about ... still gives me a warm glow as they disapear in the distance of my rear view mirror

i have the complete opposite the only car thats wanted to play so far in a 350z the saxo brigade dont even bother they just roll up and stare at it :s had a small play with an atom the other day but obviously he was gone

Wouldn't worry about the 350z, 300 zx beats them, that's why they made the 370, so they didnt get out classed by its older brother lol

Yeah same, I dont bother racing the tossers any more, but if its a car i think will be a challenge then yeah now and then

i would love to dust a boied up saxo, but they dont seem to be around when i am, then when i do see one they dont wanna race. and yeh the 350 was slightly fun but, once you start getting up in speed you start to thing this is getting silly now. its sketchy going fast these days. i know taht sounds odd from someone with a quick car but theres just too many police about. not to mention other drivers who themselves are a hazzard as theyre not looking anywhere but there bonnet

Tbh, i know its a very fast car and i did give it a few beans on the way home. but tbh its just as much fun driving it slow. its nice and relaxing. plus gives people a chance to crash there cars while staring at it going "what the .... is it?"

I found recently a bmw driver teasing me but it wasnt a race more of a burn by each other followed by getting thumbs up as i waited for the mtech bmw to catch me up.

Athough you also see some idiots who i let drive past....

Used to get this all the time in my MR2 but no-one bothers me in the Zed. God knows why, its so lary and conspicuous- maybe it just looks so fast they don't even bother lol

Nah I don't seem to get bothered either. When I had my GTR a couple of years back it was a different story - not with saxos or corsas trying it on, but in the same week I had a Ferrari 360 CS who couldn't get away and looked really pissed off, then a couple of business men in an M5 and RS6 who I left behind lol.

An RS6 and M5? They're 580bhp and 500bhp (or 400 for the last gen) respectively. Thats mightily impressive hardware - nice one!

 

I once rolled up next to an E46 M3 on the M180, all blacked out - paint, alloys and windows (looked like darth vaders helmet!). I pulled alongside and gave him the 3-2-1 gesture, to which he mouthed 'kids are in the back!" so I carried on my way and left him to it. Was gutted, was trying to find out how fast they were befor I had a showdown with my mate in his M3 (turns out they're not as quick as my Zed).

 

When i'm in my van I see 911's, Astons, Evo's etc etc, but when i'm in my Zed its always the Tesco Carpark Crew. Would love for someone just to try it on, if conditions allowed, so I could toast em. Not sure about an RS6 though, think I would probably do the 'I can't see you' straight ahead stare...

Had a 54 plate RS6 before the Zed and trust me the Zed would lose big time I'm afraid. Seriously fast motors, plus massive grip with being 4x4.

I never get anyone trying to have a little go at me also, the only time ive ever come close to what could be called a race, is when an M5 overtook me my friend in his fiesta ST and my dad in his MG on the A5 all on a blind bend. but before it even started i was thinking he wasnt worth it.

I find this happens all the time, people just get right up my backside! The closer they get, the slower I go, they soon get the message. The funny ones are the ones in their company diesels, trying to prove how fast their TDi's aren't. I'll oblige on those occasions :whistling:

I thought as much, but to clarify Baz did say he was in his skyline when he toasted him. From what I understand the RS6 is a 200mph car unrestricted. Guessing the Skyline was pushing more than 500bhp if that was the case???

Yep, as far fetched as it sounds its true. I am fully aware that they are very quick cars, but I had a Mine's-tuned R32 GTR at the time and I had the edge. Ok so I wasn't exactly leaving them for dead but mine was quicker. The Ferrari was by far the best one I've been up against, the fact he was weaving in and out of traffic and it was screaming was obvious that he was at full chat and trying (struggling) to get away. Boy how I laughed. :clap:
