Hello people. Thinking about upgrading the front brakes. Would like bigger discs and calipers but funds are a little low and need to keep 16" wheels. I understand 315mm discs will fit but will 330mm fit on the standard calipers. Cheers. Paul.

im not sure if 315 will fit under 16 inch wheels but 330 definatly wont, try tarox, or go for the group by i am trying ot get organized.

Any larger disk will require the calipers re-mounting at the larger radius. I have 330 mm on standard calipers and braking is brilliant.

When looking at this sort of upgrade, be sure of the quality of the fixings etc. For a proper setup, you should expect the disks themselves to represent no more than a third of the cost (or so). The remainder goes on the bells, the bolts and the brackets for the calipers. If you can imagine the forces involved here then you can imagine why quality is so important !

I was on a German Z-meet yesterday and there were at least 7 Z32's with brakes of a porsche 993 Biturbo.

Looked VERY impressive to say the least and according to the owners I spoke to, the braking power is just unbelievable !

The whole set (calipers/discs/converters) costs around 3000DM (~800GBP) in Germany

Oh..I forgot..

They even fit with standard 16" wheels, although it is VERY tight.
