engine temp?

I am painting the balance tube that goes across the top of the engine. I have some paint that is rated up to 150C. Do you reckon the balance tube gets much hotter than that? I can't get high temp paint in the right colour so I'm thinking I might risk it.

    Nope, don't reckon it gets nearly as hot as that - I'd be very surprised it it gets over 100 deg C. Spit on it next time the engine is hot !
