brake light/rear spoiler

Hiya, Just got my brake light to go into the standard rear spoiler. My car has a blank in it at the moment 'cos it's a UK TT, my question is, is there a connection on the boot lid to just plug it in or will I have to re-wire back to the raer light cluster?????
