this is the bit im interested in as this will be what is now our work's garage

 

communal open space to the front. Behind the Elms West is a fine example of a coachhouse and hayloft which has been converted into a domestic garage in recent years. It is interesting to note the quite lavish ornamentation of this outbuilding.

Smash the floor up and find the secret basement full of goodies :thumbup:

i have over the years as i have removed the fireplaces and foor tile's found old coins stuffed in the front right corner under concrete wrapped in paper, apperently its hidden as a reserve incase the owners become desperate and they can dig them up, got about 10 old pennies so far, i have yet to modernise the main room of the building that has a hooge slate mantle piece and fire place

Its a shame when such fancy places go to waste. Builders and designers at the time went to great efforts to make places as grand as possible.

 

These 2 pics I took at an old lunatic asylum near Leeds, this is the main entrance hallway, but the place has been demolished now. :(

 

 

they are awesome pics bud, we have been made by the coucil to pull the old ceilings down to fire proof them with boards
