Ok, pretty much its that time of year again, and im in portsmouth until the beginning of November, however my MOT runs out on the 19th.. dilema in the fact I need the car down here, but if it runs out of mot I cant take it back up when my block down here is over, well i'll have 7 days to get the work finished

obviously I dont want to get a dodgy mot, but a kind tester that can turn a blind eye at smaller things would be a god send...

Im not even sure what it might fail on, just I know that it smells of petrol and im worried about my emissions I guess?

Does anyone know of a good test station to go to, im willing to travel a bit to get there.

Cheers

Well, I had the MOT today, it failed on a broken bulb on a side repeater, and the fact that there are no rear fog lights.......?

Now, this car has been in the uk for a number of years, so how is it that it has passed in the past..? can you get detachable rear fogs for example?

I need to get in touch with Apache.. does anyone have his contact details?

Thanks very much

You can get a bolt on from halfords for about £10 plus you need a switch on the dash.

Search for fog light and there will be lots of threads with some options.

You can also convert one of your reverse lights to a fog and put a red bulb/led in.

Use the orange switch down by the handbrake - it should put on the inner 2 brake lights..............

I'll get on that tomorrow morning and book it in for it's re-test midweek

They were both spare - I was going to use one to switch the illuminated 300zx rear centre panel on/off but never got around to it...........

Ok thanks very much!

I'll get on it, theres no reason why it should fail next time which is good, however there were 2 advisories on rust which I need to sort out at some point.. :(

Thanks very much!
